We will dance the 5th Wed 11/30/11.??2) On Wed?12/07/11?one of Oaktown 8's founders,?Frank Biafore, will once again join us for our?Holiday Gift "Exchange".?Please bring a gift wrapped (or bagged) suitable for for a child (do not wrap it too fancy as we will open them, see below). There is no limit as to what to spend. By all means keep it in your budget. (When we used to exchange in expensive??gifts, we kept it to under $10, so use that as a guide, if one is needed.?Then we realized, who needs more stuff??So now we pass some joy on to hospitalized children.) During the game we will "exchange" the gifts per Frank's direction, and at the end open and admire them! If you are unable to bring a gift for any reason (we all know how busy this time of year can be!), please come and dance with us. There will be extra gifts to "exchange". ?After that Ida will take them and deliver them to a friend who works with hospitalized children, who will distribute them. It will be a fun evening, as it is great to see what treasures people find and the game itself is amusing. We also will have holiday treats and, of course, dancing!? 3) Jeff asked me to pass along that there are three dances coming up, two of them are for new dancers: Friday December??2nd-??Martinez Swingers Murder Mystery and Beginner's Hoedown (September level) 8:00-10:30pm Martinez Adult School, 600 F Street (F and Alhambra), Martinez Saturday December 3rd??-??CPSD "Snowflake Ball" Newer Dancer Hoedown (September level) 7:30-9:45pm Camden Community Center, 3369 Union Avenue, San Jose Saturday December 3rd?-??Diablo Dancers "Relay the Reindeer"?[MS/Plus/A2] 7:30-10:30pm Jewish Community Center, 2071 Tice Valley Blvd., Walnut Creek If a new student wants to attend the above Diablo dance, please let Ken know, so he can let the caller know, and they could have a special tip for new students. (Unless I am held over at work I do intend to attend this dance and if you are there let me know as I love dancing with you all!) Dan, Anissa and I had a great time at Sweet Bird of Youth. We discussed it and feel Daniel was one of the best performers on the stage. we had a delightful dinner at the Beach Chalet afterwards.
